Alain Gut was Director of Public Affairs/Government and Regulatory Affairs at IBM Switzerland, having previously been responsible for the public sector business and, as a member of the Executive Board, for the software business in Switzerland and Austria.
Alain Gut has also worked for DEC Digital Equipment Corporation, UBS AG, A&A Actienbank, Microsoft, and Tata Consultancy Services. He studied business informatics at the University of Zurich and holds a PhD.
Alain Gut is involved in several commissions and committees promoting IT in education, cybersecurity, and sustainability. Among other, he is active in the following committees: President of Swiss Cyber Experts, Member of the Board of Swico, President of ICT-Berufsbildung Schweiz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIZ AG, Member of the Education and Research Commission of economiesuisse, Head of the Education, Professionals, and Diversity Committee of digitalswitzerland, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Impact by AGON.
